Strings Instructor (Part Time)

• →Adhere to the school’s mission and the principles of classical education.
• →Provide high-quality instruction in string instruments through group lessons.
• →Develop students’ technical skills, musical expression, and ensemble playing abilities.
• →Prepare students for performances, recitals, and school events as needed.
• →Collaborate with faculty to integrate music education with the broader classical curriculum.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or a related field from an accredited college is required.
• Previous teaching experience in classical string instruction is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in performance of a string instrument, with experience teaching group heterogenous lessons.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with classical education is preferred but not required.

Atlanta Classical Academy is an open-enrollment, public charter school open to students who reside within the Atlanta Public Schools district. The school opened in 2014 with grades K – 8, and has added a grade each year as students have advanced. It is now a K – 12 academy. The children of full-time employees have enrollment preference and would be offered a seat in the school.
