- →Provide high-quality instruction in string instruments through group lessons.
- →Develop students’ technical skills, musical expression, and ensemble playing abilities.
- →Prepare students for performances, recitals, and school events as needed.
- →Collaborate with faculty to integrate music education with the broader classical curriculum.
- →Maintain a structured, disciplined, and inspiring learning environment.
Requirements
~1 min read- A Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or a related field from an accredited college is required.
- Previous teaching experience in classical string instruction is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in performance of a string instrument, with experience teaching group heterogenous lessons.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with classical education is preferred but not required.

Atlanta Classical Academy is an open-enrollment, public charter school open to students who reside within the Atlanta Public Schools district. The school opened in 2014 with grades K – 8, and has added a grade each year as students have advanced. It is now a K – 12 academy. The children of full-time employees have enrollment preference and would be offered a seat in the school.
