Join our Production team as a Blending Operator Lead and take an active role in turning raw materials into consistent, high-quality products. You will guide blending operators, coordinate daily priorities, and help ensure every batch meets safety, quality, cGMP, FDA, and internal standards. This is an opportunity for an experienced blending professional to combine hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
~1 min readIn this hands-on lead role, you will:
- →Lead, train, and guide blending operators while providing clear, constructive performance feedback.
- →Coordinate and prioritize blending work to support production schedules and on-time product delivery.
- →Set up and calibrate blending equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
- →Monitor blending processes and inspect materials to maintain accuracy, consistency, quality, and uniformity.
- →Partner with Quality Control and Quality Assurance to meet cGMP, FDA, and internal quality requirements.
- →Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- →Maintain accurate production, material usage, and equipment maintenance records.
- →Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- →Promote a safe work environment and reinforce safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).
- →Support the development and revision of blending procedures and protocols.
- →Coordinate with inventory and procurement teams to help maintain raw-material availability.
- →Contribute to cross-functional meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and awareness of relevant industry and regulatory changes.
- →Perform additional duties as assigned.
You are a safety- and quality-minded manufacturing professional who can balance technical execution, team guidance, and changing production priorities.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience as a blending operator, including 2 years in a lead or supervisory role; pharmaceutical or dietary supplement manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of blending equipment, processes, and quality standards.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA regulations, and manufacturing quality-control practices.
This active role regularly involves talking, hearing, grasping, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must be able to grasp, lift, and/or move items weighing more than 40 pounds. The role also requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. Travel is primarily local during the business day. Weekend, holiday, or overtime work may be required based on production demands.
The role will be performed in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing environment, where products are produced under strict regulatory and quality standards to ensure safety, consistency, and compliance. This environment includes controlled cleanroom facilities, documented processes, and adherence to FDA 21 CFR Part 211 requirements. Employees must follow all GMP procedures, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and participate in quality assurance activities.
The offices are clean, orderly, properly lit and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate. Field conditions vary. Exposed to various raw materials, including allergens (i.e. milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy).
