The Open Network Product Manager is primarily responsible for leading the product direction for the Church to Church team’s digital platform, Open.Life.Church, which resources churches worldwide with free ministry resources, tools, and training. This role owns the product strategy, backlog prioritization, and delivery coordination for Open Network, partnering across Church to Church and engineering teams to deliver meaningful solutions. The Product Manager is expected to develop deep expertise in the platform, its users, and its data, and to use both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions that further Life.Church’s mission to reach people for Christ.
 
The Church to Church Team equips pastors and leaders worldwide with free resources. Through Life.Church Open Network, pastors can access more than 80,000 church resources that help them reach the communities they’re called to reach. 
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for Open Network, aligning platform direction with Church to Church team goals and organizational priorities.
  • Lead discovery efforts to identify and validate user problems, opportunities, and emerging needs among pastors and church leaders.
  • Define product outcomes in collaboration with the direct team leader and broader Church to Church leadership.
  • Research and anticipate church, technological, and industry trends that affect our audience and proactively plan ways to serve.
  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog informed by user feedback, data insights, and input from the broader Church to Church team.
  • Write clear user stories, product requirements, and acceptance criteria for engineering partners.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming sessions to ensure shared understanding of priorities and trade-offs.
  • Manage scope, sequencing, and dependencies across delivery phases to ensure timely, high quality releases.
  • Collaborate with Church Support to identify and resolve platform bugs and user-reported issues.
  • Partner with the Life.Church Digital Product team on design, development, and technical execution of Open Network.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between Church to Church team needs and product execution, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering partners on sprint planning, progress monitoring, and delivery of platform updates.
  • Build deep knowledge of user behaviors, stories, and profiles to inform product decisions.
  • Plan and refine the platform experience to build trust, ease-of-use, and repeat engagement for users.
  • Identify and maintain channels for ongoing audience input, including focus groups and user feedback loops.
  • Collaborate with the Church to Church team to advocate for churches actively using Life.Church resources.
  • Define and track KPIs and success criteria for Open.Life.Church.
  • Analyze, visualize, and communicate platform performance and user trends to leadership.
  • Use data insights to inform prioritization, continuous improvement, and strategic recommendations.
  • Report regularly on product progress, impact, and outcomes to Church to Church leadership.
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of modern product discovery and delivery processes.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to use data to inform decisions and surface insights.
  • Self-motivated and organized with ability to manage a product area independently.
  • Strong ownership of roadmap, priorities, and trade-off decisions.
  • Maintains flexibility and initiates the creation of new processes and project strategies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3+ years of related work experience in product management, business analytics, or software portfolio management.
