Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop and review case plans in collaboration with relevant Care Team members, addressing the individual needs of children and young people in LWB's care.
- →Address the impacts of abuse, neglect, separation from families and complex trauma on children and young people in out of home care.
- →Engage in reflective practice, assessment, development, implementation, monitoring, and case plan reviews to ensure young people's needs are met.
- →Maintain high-quality, up-to-date record keeping for each child or young person.
- →Support children and young people in developing and maintaining positive relationships with family, community members and connection to culture.
- →Provide ongoing support and supervision to Carers to assist them implement strategies outlined in relevant plans through home visits and phone support.
Requirements
~1 min read- Relevant bachelor’s degree, or a relevant diploma and be working towards a degree. (A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience and a willingness to undertake further training)
- Previous case management experience within an Intensive Therapeutic Care or Out of Home Care (OOHC) setting
- Experience supporting Children & Young People who have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect.
- Understanding of current casework practices for children and young people
- Demonstrated skills in working with individuals, families, or groups using a strengths-based and culturally appropriate approach
- A current driver’s licence.
The successful candidate will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check; NSW Working with Children Check and a Residential Register Worker Clearance.
