About the Role
~1 min readAs an Intensive Therapeutic Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing holistic support to young people in need. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with young people, who are experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural, and psychological difficulties. Through your expertise in therapeutic intervention and case management, you will help guide them towards improved mental well-being, self-esteem, and life skills.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with Children & Young People in out of home care and an understanding of trauma and its effects on children and young people.
This role is offered as a permanent full-time opportunity. Hours of work are 8:30am – 5pm. There will be a requirement to participate in the on-call roster. This will be two days a fortnight from 5pm to 9am the following morning (subject to change based on business requirements). The candidate will receive an on-call allowance.
The successful candidate will also conduct weekly home visits across the Western region (Orange, Dubbo, and Bathurst). A tool of trade will be provided.
Requirements
~1 min read- Relevant bachelor’s degree, or a relevant diploma and be working towards a degree. (A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience and a willingness to undertake further training)
- Previous case management experience within an Intensive Therapeutic Care or Out of Home Care (OOHC) setting
- Experience supporting Children & Young People with disability, who have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect.
- Understanding of current casework practices for children and young people
- Current drivers’ licence
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
