Disability Support Leader. Permanent Full Time - Dubbo

Provide personalised coaching and mentoring to a team of Disability Support Workers, focusing on skill development and best practices, while overseeing the operations of Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes within the Dubbo area.

The successful candidate will have leadership experience and an understanding of the disability sector.

• →Guide and inspire a team of Disability Support Workers with a collaborative approach to professional development and practice excellence
• →Maintain clear role distinctions and provide decisive leadership
• →Foster a culture of resilience and adaptability
• →Ensure staff are skilled and knowledgeable in the delivery of disability services and ensuring active support of clients
• →Lead and coordinate high-volume service operations for 9 clients in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes
• →Roster support for unexpected leave coverage
• →Effectively manage crisis situations and complex behavioural incidents, with a strong understanding of positive behaviour support and restrictive practices
• →Promote a partnership approach with families and shared decision-making
• →Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery
• →Balance competing demands while ensuring completion of mandatory reporting, compliance, risk management, and resource optimisation
• →Accurately identify, document, and submit reportable incident notifications

• Previous leadership experience within the delivery of services to people with disability and/or mental health
• Diploma in relevant Social & Community Services or relevant experience
• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Established influencing and negotiation skills
• Ability to think creatively and use initiative whilst utilising leadership capability to make an impact in the sector

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Workers Check.
