About the Role
~1 min readJoining our Lifestyles (home care support) team, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes and accessing the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.
To provide best support you will have experience managing highly challenging behaviours, assistance with daily personal activities and manual handling.
To be considered for a role you must be able to commit to a variety of client session times (that vary from 30 minutes to 2 hours) between 6am and 10pm from Yennora to Picnic Point and surrounds. We have permanent part time and casual roles available.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage and de‑escalate challenging behaviours while ensuring safety, dignity, and person-centred support
- →Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
- →Domestic assistance (support with household chores)
- →Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
- →Documenting and progress note keeping
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience in managing highly challenging behaviours is essential, including verbal and physical aggression
- Previous experience supporting people with disability in a home care and community setting
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Confidence and experience in manual handling and providing personal care
- Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Willing to complete basic household chores
- Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
