• →Provide 24/7 therapeutic care and supervision for up to four children aged 0–12 years, creating a safe, nurturing and culturally responsive home that supports their growth, development and independence.
• →Act as a positive role model and engage children in age-appropriate activities such as play, creative learning and structured routines that promote self worth, social skills and emotional growth.
• →Support family and social connections by encouraging positive relationships with parents, siblings, peers and other important people and facilitating visits where appropriate.
• →Deliver daily living and household support including cleaning, transport, meal preparation and routines tailored to the needs of younger children.
• →Respond to trauma related needs and behaviours with empathy using trauma informed approaches suited to children aged 0–12 years.
• →Follow care plans to maintain high standards of care, record information accurately, collaborate with the team and participate in ongoing training.

• Relevant Diploma or Degree level qualification in Social and Community Services or significant relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience providing residential and therapeutic care for children and young people with complex behaviours and trauma, ideally as a live-in carer
• Proven ability to build professional nurturing relationships with children and young people between the ages of 0-12 years.
• Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people, understanding their cultural needs and traditions
• Demonstrated knowledge of complex trauma and its effects on children and young people and how it impacts their behaviour
• Strong peer support, teamwork, problem solving and conflict management skills
• Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
• A current and unrestricted driver’s licence

Experience in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) will be highly regarded.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, WA Working with Children Check and WA DCP395 Check.
