About the Role
~1 min readAs a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.
We are looking to fill 1 permanent part-time position. You MUST be available for all shifts Please see the hours below:
Monday 5pm to 9pm
Friday 9am to 2pm
Saturday 9am to 2pm
Sunday 8am to 1pm
Week 2
Tuesday 5pm to 9pm
Saturday 9am to 2pm
Sunday 8am to 10am
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Personal care supports including dressing and showering
- →Support clients to reach their goals through meaningful activities of their choice
- →Encourage participation in meal planning and preparation
- →Support clients to maintain a safe and organised home environment
- →Track and document the changing needs of client’s thorough record-keeping
- →Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and your team
- →Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliant
- →Approach challenges with resilience, flexibility and a solutions-focused mindset
Requirements
~1 min read- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and ability to drive a large van
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
