Occupational Therapist - Manual Handling

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join its client’s Manual Handling Team within Suffolk Adult Social Care for a short-term assignment focused on manual handling assessments and care package reviews.

• →Delivering safe and timely front-line OT services across the directorate
• →Supporting triage and reducing duplication between health and social care to manage OT waiting lists
• →Advising and supporting external care providers on safe moving and handling practices
• →Reviewing care packages to ensure best value and optimal use of equipment
• →Assessing and reducing double-handed care packages where appropriate
• →Providing mutual aid to other OT areas as needed
• →Completing OT assessments and reviews in line with best practice

To be successful in this role you must have, 

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Experience to Band 6 level or equivalent
• Manual handling expertise essential
• Local authority experience preferred (NHS also considered)
• Must be local to Lowestoft or able to commute daily
