Position Overview:
The General Manager, Strategic Delivery is a senior executive responsible for translating organisational strategy into measurable outcomes through disciplined planning, execution, and performance monitoring. The role leads enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives, drives cross‑functional collaboration, and ensures major programs, reforms, and transformation projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required standard.
Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Executive Team the GM Strategic Delivery acts as the organisation’s central coordination point for strategy, performance, and organisational improvement, enabling the organisation to operate with clarity, accountability, and strategic focus. The role also acts as a critical line of sight across the organisation, challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities, and ensuring leaders are held accountable for delivery of strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the annual and multi‑year strategic planning cycle, ensuring clear priorities, objectives, and performance measures.
- Translate strategic goals into executable plans with clear accountabilities, dependencies, and timelines.
- Oversee the organisation’s portfolio of major programs, transformation initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Establish and uphold enterprise project management frameworks, governance structures, and quality assurance standards.
- Ensure projects are delivered with strong business cases, clear benefits, and robust change‑management approaches.
- Oversee and deliver the LIVs Project Management Office and framework.
- Lead development of an enterprise performance management framework, including KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
- Provide high‑quality insights and analysis to support executive decision‑making.
- Work closely with internal leaders to ensure cross-functional alignment and coordinated delivery.
- Engage key external stakeholders such as government agencies, regulators, member bodies, partners, vendors, and peak organisations.
To be considered, you must demonstrate:

- Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into actionable execution plans.
- Strong program/project management expertise, including governance and risk management.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
- Proven ability to lead transformation and organisational improvement initiatives.
- Executive‑level communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to build capability and coach high-performing teams.
- High degree of organisational awareness, political acumen, and problem‑solving capability.
Qualification
- 10+ years in senior roles across strategy, program delivery, transformation, or organisational performance.
- Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives in a large organisation.
