• →Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial oil refining piping and associated structures.
• →Supervise and train welder helpers.
• →Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications, and plan, lay-out, install and/or repair all types of piping in accordance with those plans and specifications.
• →Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
• →Properly choose filler metals and construction material to complete assignments.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

• Minimum of 5 years of welding experience required.
• Prior welding experience in the construction, mining or related industry or prefer a two-year vocational-technical degree.

• Completing a welding qualification is a requirement.
• Orbital welding training will be provided but prior orbital welding experience is a plus.

• Must meet all state license requirements.
• Accurate and precise attention to detail.
• Must have working knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations regarding piping systems.
• Must be familiar with properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
• Must have proficiency in commonly used welding processes, including SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW. Other processes utilized are Oxy-Fuel Welding and Cutting.
• OSHA 10 certification.
