We are seeking an experienced Scaffold Foreman to lead and oversee scaffold crews on industrial and commercial construction projects. The Scaffold Foreman is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and inspecting scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling activities while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, project specifications, and company standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive scaffolding experience, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Supervise and direct scaffold crews in the safe erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding systems.
- →Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- →Verify that all scaffold structures are built according to applicable regulations, engineering requirements, and company standards.
- →Conduct pre-job planning meetings and daily safety briefings with crew members.
- →Perform routine scaffold inspections to ensure structural integrity and compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
- →Identify and correct unsafe conditions, work practices, or equipment deficiencies.
- →Coordinate scaffold activities with project managers, superintendents, contractors, and other trades to support project goals.
- →Maintain accurate records of inspections, workforce activity, material usage, and equipment inventory.
- →Ensure scaffold materials, tools, and equipment are properly maintained, stored, and accounted for.
- →Train, mentor, and develop scaffold builders and apprentices on proper installation techniques and safety procedures.
- →Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards at all times.
- →Assist with troubleshooting and resolving field issues related to scaffold design, access requirements, and site conditions.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial or commercial scaffolding experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory or foreman experience leading scaffold crews.
- Thorough knowledge of scaffold systems, erection procedures, and dismantling practices.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and scaffold safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret scaffold drawings, project plans, and specifications.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and any required site-specific screenings.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
- NCCER Scaffold Builder Certification or equivalent industry certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience with refinery, industrial, power generation, petrochemical, or heavy commercial construction projects.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
- Experience managing material inventories and workforce productivity.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
