Industrial Operations Intern - AIT

Orbitworks is a sovereign aerospace and advanced technology company in the UAE. We build and test real satellite systems — and our interns work on projects that matter from day one. This is not a shadowing programme. You will own a defined project, work alongside experienced engineers and business professionals, and present outcomes to leadership.

Conduct a comprehensive Value Stream Map (VSM) of the production floor operations, capturing process flows, cycle times, waste identification, and improvement opportunities across the AIT and manufacturing sequence.

• Detailed Value Stream Map of the full production floor
• Waste identification and cycle-time analysis report
• Improvement opportunity recommendations
• Final presentation of findings to operations leadership

• Lean manufacturing principles and VSM methodology
• Production/AIT flow and operation sequencing
• Process improvement and waste reduction frameworks
• Cross-functional stakeholder communication

Students pursuing Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Lean Manufacturing disciplines
