This position supports commissioning and startup activities for gas and chemical systems within a semiconductor manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will work closely with commissioning, engineering, construction, and operations teams to support project execution while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and documentation. This role is ideal for candidates with experience working with gas and chemical systems in industrial or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the charging and energization of high-purity gas distribution systems, including drum and tote cabinets, gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes, high-purity piping, and tubing.
  • Assist with commissioning activities to ensure systems are charged and energized safely and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform detailed walkdowns of gas distribution mains, submains, laterals, and associated infrastructure.
  • Identify, document, and communicate deficiencies, variances, and punch-list items requiring corrective action.
  • Conduct inspections and functional testing activities to support system readiness and validation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, construction, and commissioning teams to verify system performance and operational readiness.
  • Adhere to all site safety standards, procedures, and permit requirements during commissioning activities.
  • Support the identification and mitigation of risks associated with gas and chemical systems.
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, checklists, records, and supporting documentation.
  • Update documentation to accurately reflect system modifications, testing results, and commissioning activities.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
  • 2+ years of experience in commissioning, startup, operations, maintenance, construction, facilities, or related technical roles.
  • Experience working with gas and chemical systems, high-purity gas distribution systems, or related process systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, system layouts, and commissioning documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.
  • Technical training in a mechanical, process, industrial, or related discipline preferred.
  • Semiconductor, gas and chemical, commissioning, startup, facilities, or operations experience preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
