About Lucid

 

The General Assembly Production Supervisor leads day-to-day production operations at our KAEC facility, overseeing teams of up to 80 employees. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, high quality, and efficient manufacturing in a fast-paced automotive environment. The position plays an important role in supporting new products and process launches and works closely with Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to implement changes and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes ownership of results, supports team development, and approaches challenges with energy and professionalism. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, the ability to adapt quickly, and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

•  Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

• Ensure compliance with automotive quality systems, safety standards, and company policies.

• Monitor production performance, analyze downtime, and implement corrective actions.

• Lead, motivate, and develop production team members through clear direction, coaching, and performance management.

• Collaborate with Quality, PFS, Maintenance, PE, ME, and Logistics teams to resolve production issues.

• Ensure proper use, and availability of equipment, tools, and materials.

• Enforce workplace safety, housekeeping standards, and environmental regulations. 

• Execute Leader Standard Work, including Gemba walks, shift start up checks, line readiness verification, and routine process confirmation.

• Promote a strong safety first culture by proactively identifying hazards, responding to incidents as the first line leader, and ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions.

• Ensure built in quality by verifying standardized work, confirming critical to quality steps, and escalating abnormalities when identified.

• Lead structured tier meetings and shift briefings to communicate priorities, confirm staffing, review plan versus actual performance, and escalate issues quickly.

• Coach Team Leaders and Team Members to resolve problems at the lowest level using problem solving methods.

• Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, standardized work, and visual management.

• Manage workforce planning, including manpower allocation, shift coverage, attendance, and skills coverage to ensure stable operations.

• Ensure synchronous material flow by coordinating receiving, warehousing, line side supply, and finished goods movement to prevent shortages and line stoppages.

• Support flawless execution of new part and process launches through production readiness planning and cross functional coordination.

• Implement engineering changes through the formal change management process, ensuring documentation accuracy, team training, and updates to standardized work.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop teams.

• Strong safety awareness with an understanding of shop floor safety standards and compliance requirements.

• Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and assembly operations.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, structured problem solving tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Ability to interpret production data, KPIs, and technical documentation to support daily and long term decision making.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities in a fast paced production environment.

• Working knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, and root cause analysis.

• Proficient in MS office and manufacturing systems (ERP / MES) for reporting and performance tracking.

• Ability to manage workforce planning, including manpower allocation, shift coverage, attendance, and skills coverage to support stable operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory role within automotive or 5-8 years of experience in industrial manufacturing.

• Experience managing production teams in a high volume environment.

• Familiarity with quality systems and ISO standards.

• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as per production requirements.

• Eligible to work in Saudi Arabia (Saudi nationals preferred, where applicable, in line with Saudization policies)
