Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the position of CNC Operator is in place for the purpose of installing glass and door bottoms, packaging, and completing other value-add processes to doors being cut by the CNC. The associate will be responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and completion of these daily operations.  Installing glass and other door components.

  • Ensuring the proper quality, accuracy and timeliness of the prepping of all doors for specials, line, and finish.
  • Properly staging all doors for production or shipping.
  • Maintaining the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the CNC area, assigned by the CNC Supervisor 
  • Working with shipping to pull individual components for customer orders
  • Ensuring that all production areas are properly supplied for the day’s work
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the CNC Supervisor

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance for uniform, protective footwear, and PPE.

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Prior woodworking would be considered a plus; router, miter saws, table saws
  • Prior CNC operation would be considered a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of exterior doors would be considered a plus, but not required. 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently at all times 
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to accurately read orders and stage material to internal customer needs
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to “do things right the first time”
