Located at our Byron Center, MI location, this person would be responsible for installing hinges in jambs and using a router to bore door jambs. Secondary responsibilities include learning the CNC machine and a table saw for customized product. These associates are responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and completion of these daily operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the proper quality, accuracy and timeliness of the prepping of all jambs for specials, line, and finish
- Properly staging all jambs for production
- Maintaining the organization, maintenance and cleanliness of the door area, assigned by the Prep Supervisor
- Ensuring that all production areas are properly supplied for the day’s work
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the Prep Supervisor

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.
- High School diploma/GED required
- Prior woodworking would be considered a plus; router, miter saws, table saws
- Prior cabinet manufacturing or trim carpentry work would be considered a plus
- Knowledge of exterior doors would be considered a plus, but not required
- CNC knowledge would be considered a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Safe working practices
- Natural detail-orientation
- Ability to accurately read orders and stage material to internal customer needs
- Desire to “do things right the first time”
Requirements

- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day
