Who we are
We are Luminary Women - a women-led charity offering a bold, innovative response to the needs of women in London who face multiple disadvantage, including gender-based violence.
Based in Camden, London, Luminary Women has been working to empower women to reach their potential since 2013 through training and support programmes. We use baking as a tool to guide women who have experienced multiple disadvantage on a journey towards employability and independence.
Luminary Women’s Vision
A world where every woman is safe, independent, financially secure and able to thrive.
Our Mission
Luminary Women works alongside women who have experienced multiple forms of disadvantage, including gender‑based violence. We offer a holistic programme combining training, dedicated support work, community building and employment pathways. We use a trauma-informed approach to help women achieve empowerment, employment and independence - breaking the cycle of poverty, violence and disadvantage.
Our Values
Hope. Collaboration. Empathy. Empowerment.
The Role and its impact
This is an exciting, newly created role that will be instrumental in raising awareness of Luminary Women and supporting the charity's next phase of growth.

The role will be two days a week from our Chalk Farm office (with flexibility).
This role is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a small but established charity dedicated to supporting women to thrive. The selected candidate will bring fresh thinking and a commitment to contributing to our mission.

- Collaborate closely with the wider team to stay informed on programmes and activities, contributing to the growth of our referral programme.
- Work closely with the Head of Fundraising to promote fundraising campaigns and activities, to increase income.
- Support the creation of engaging visual content by capturing mobile photography and video across training sessions, events and ad hoc activities (e.g. workshops).
