Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate pre-kindergarten curriculum and classroom activities aligned with Massachusetts early childhood education standards

  • Leading daily classroom routines including circle time, learning centers, meals, outdoor play, rest time, and classroom transitions
  • Supporting children’s cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development through play-based and structured learning experiences
  • Supervising children throughout the school day while maintaining active engagement, classroom management, and safe teacher-to-child ratios
  • Building strong relationships and open communication with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and developmental milestones
  • Collaborating with Assistant Teachers and center leadership to maintain a positive and supportive childcare team environment
  • Maintaining classroom cleanliness, organization, and sanitization in accordance with Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations and health and safety standards
  • Preparing lesson plans, classroom materials, and educational activities that encourage creativity, independence, and exploration
  • Ensuring compliance with all Massachusetts EEC regulations, center policies, and early childhood education quality standards

Qualified candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Must meet Massachusetts EEC requirements for a Preschool/Pre-K Teacher position
  • Previous experience working in a preschool, pre-kindergarten, daycare, or early childhood education setting required
  • EEC Teacher Certification required; Lead Teacher certification preferred
  • CDA, Associate’s Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Strong understanding of child development, classroom management, and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Ability to create a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment for preschool-aged children
  • Strong communication, professionalism, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities
  • All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of all required Massachusetts background checks and EEC requirements.
