Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates, including multi-state returns.

Provide advanced tax planning, research, and strategic consulting to help clients optimize their tax positions.

Conduct paid tax consultations with clients, explaining tax positions, planning opportunities, and compliance requirements in a clear and professional manner.

Ensure full compliance with US federal, state, and local tax laws, including timely filings, estimated payments, extensions, and quarterly projections.

Respond to client inquiries and notices from taxing authorities; support IRS, state, and local examinations by gathering documentation and preparing responses.

Review tax returns prepared by junior staff and provide technical guidance, feedback, and mentorship.

Research complex tax issues, monitor regulatory changes, and apply updated regulations appropriately to client situations.

Maintain accurate, organized client tax files, documentation, and workpapers using tax and accounting software.

Collaborate cross-functionally to support accounting, advisory, payroll, or operations teams during off-peak periods or as business needs arise.

Identify opportunities to improve tax preparation workflows and contribute to process and efficiency improvements.

Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment while delivering high-quality client service.
