The Pharmacy Operations Manager will assist the Pharmacy Director with the overall day-to-day management of the Pharmacy operations and staff (Technicians and Pharmacists). Assumes leadership accountability and responsibility for clinical operations and supervision of drug distribution. Supports the Pharmacy staff to enable effective processes for pharmaceutical ordering, dispensing and clinical interventions. Responsible for leadership and direction in accordance with the organizational and departmental philosophy and goals to achieve expectations for clinical/operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy, M.S. in Hospital Pharmacy, or a Pharm.D. degree required.
- →Licensure as a Pharmacist required.
- →1 to 2 years in a supervisory/management capacity required.
- →Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency preferred with a minimum of three years of experience in an acute care hospital system preferred.

Physical Requirements: Constant (67-100% of workday) use of arms and hands; frequent (34-66% of workday) standing, walking, and sitting; occasional (0-33% of workday) bending, stooping, and squatting; ability to lift 35 lbs.; ability to push and pull up to 20 lbs.; auditory and visual skills to include color determination.
Mental Requirements: Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Capacity to cope with difficult situations. Ability to tolerate irregular hours including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Environmental Requirements and Exposure Hazards: Potential risk of exposure to radiation and toxic chemicals. Potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens; must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
