We are seeking a motivated and talented Product Corporate Counsel to provide day-to-day legal support to Hinge. This role will report to the Senior Corporate Counsel, Hinge, and will be located in our New York City office, where we observe a 3-day-per-week in-office hybrid attendance policy.
Partner with Hinge's product, design, and engineering teams as an embedded legal advisor throughout the full product lifecycle, from ideation and design through launch and commercialization, providing practical, solution-oriented counsel that keeps momentum without sacrificing rigor.
Help manage the intake, triage, and prioritization of day-to-day legal questions and requests from business stakeholders, ensuring timely routing, response, and escalation as needed.
Develop a deep understanding of Hinge's product, technology, and data practices to deliver proactive, business-minded advice on new features, AI-driven functionality, and safety initiatives.
Serve as legal liaison to product and design teams on compliance with domestic and international laws governing consumer-facing technology, including advertising, intellectual property and consumer protection.
Partner closely with Hinge Privacy counsel and cross-functional Privacy teams on data protection, privacy-by-design reviews, and regulatory compliance matters affecting product features, data practices, and new market launches.
Collaborate with Match Group’s Litigation, Trust & Safety, Corporate Affairs and other shared-services teams to gather information and implement changes in response to regulatory inquiries, litigation, or company-wide initiatives
Partner with Hinge and our broader Match Group Legal team to evolve Hinge's user-facing legal policies and disclosures, including Terms of Use, content and community guidelines, and consumer-facing messaging.
Develop, advise and manage continuous improvement of cross-functional legal workflows, including playbooks, training, templates, and AI-assisted processes, to reduce time-to-answer on recurring legal questions and scale support as Hinge grows.
Issue-spot and assess legal and regulatory risk for new and evolving products, particularly AI systems, under emerging AI regulation globally (e.g., the EU AI Act) and at the U.S. state level.
Draft and negotiate a range of commercial agreements supporting product development, including technology licensing, SaaS, data/analytics, research, and vendor agreements, partnering with Hinge Commercial Legal and relevant stakeholders where appropriate.
Guide product launches into new markets, ensuring compliance with local legal requirements and coordinating with local internal and external counsel as needed.
Conduct legal research on novel issues affecting Hinge’s products and users.
Act as a trusted, embedded legal partner who identifies jurisdiction-specific risk early, builds scalable compliance frameworks, and finds creative paths forward that keep ambitious product bets moving.
3+ years’ experience in technology, consumer products, privacy, or related regulatory practice, with both top law firm and in-house legal department experience preferred.
Law degree from a top accredited law school and admission (or in-house eligibility) to practice law in New York.
Experience providing legal support to product, design, or engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle, ideally in a consumer technology or digital media environment.
Some experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (e.g., SaaS and other technology contracts) is a plus.
Excellent business communication and analytical skills, as well as an impeccable attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Comfort and fluency in using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) and finding new use cases for applying AI to Legal workflow efficiency.
Curious and practical-minded legal partner skilled in helping business teams to identify and balance risks against business priorities.

You will be an integral part of a highly collaborative Hinge legal team and broader Match Group legal team. While individual autonomy is valued, team members are encouraged to work together, leveraging shared knowledge and experience.

The global legal team includes members with backgrounds across a range of consumer-facing industries, including software, gaming, social networking, travel, hospitality, sports, entertainment, retail and music.
