Dance Instructor

SUMMARY:   This job includes assisting the lead teacher with instruction and education of children between the age(s) of 3-18 years in various dance disciplines. This position has the opportunity to move up in leadership over time.    QUALIFICATIONS:  The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Requirements - 

• 16 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation 
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends

• Must have a device where company apps can be downloaded 
• Must have your own working email address  

Physical Demands - 

• Demonstrate various progressions or skills with arms, legs, head, etc. 
• Be on your feet and active for an hour or more at a time 
• Spot all skills required of the classes that you are teaching  

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following:  

• Ability to handle high pressure situations such as accidents and minor injuries 
• Being on time, dependable, and maintain the same schedule  
• Communicating with students and lead teacher throughout sessions when necessary  
• Be able to have effective class management skills

  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

• Dance experience is required 
• Experience working with children preferred
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date 

  WORK CONDITIONS: 

• Dance facilities are covered, climate-controlled facilities
