Salary Information

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade. \r\n**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies** \r\n

Nature of Work

The\r\nfundamental reason this position exists is to provide assistance and support\r\nfor senior Community Corrections Staff. This position assists senior staff in\r\nidentifying and monitoring offenders placed into Community Corrections programs\r\nand securing alternative releases for all targeted populations. The work\r\nresponsibilities include assisting the Community Correction Officer in\r\nresearching possible alternative releases or dispositions of both\r\nnon-adjudicated offenders and adjudicated offenders; assisting and supporting\r\nsupervision and monitoring of Community Corrections program populations\r\nparticipating in community corrections programs; monitoring and verifying the\r\nprogress of offenders; performing administrative and program support duties;\r\nprepares reports and documentation. The Community Corrections Technician\r\nreports directly to the Community Corrections Supervisor.\r\n

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, criminal justice, criminology, counseling, psychology, sociology or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.\r\n\r\n\r\nNOTE:��Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the\r\nrequisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.\r\n

Special Requirements

Must have a valid Alabama Driver’s License or have the ability to acquire one at the time of employment.\r\n
