POSITION DUTIES
The Individual Tax Audit Section of the Compliance Division is looking to hire two (2) Assistant Managers in their Tax Investigation Section. Assistant Manager, Financial Compliance Audits (FCA): This position assists the section manager in managing the overall operations of the newly formed FCA team by providing support to the Supervisors, assisting in the development of new programs, providing guidance to the training lead, monitoring production, and handling personnel matters. Assistant Manager, Tax Investigation: This position assists the section manager in managing the overall operations of Post Audit, manual RAR and the Manual NF teams by providing support to the Unit Manager and Supervisors assigned to the Tax Investigations (TI) Unit. Duties include but are not limited to assisting auditors with more complex tax questions; assisting supervisors with selecting new audit types; and reviewing reports to determine if criminal audit cases should be recommended for prosecution. This position also serves as supervisor to the Criminal Investor assigned to the unit and assists with the production schedule for the Automated Programs processed for the Individual Nexus Unit.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\r\nExperience: Six years of professional work experience in auditing, accounting, tax law, senior management, or customer service. Four years of this professional work experience must have involved supervising professional revenue administrators, accountants, or auditors, or providing legal advice requiring the interpretation of tax laws in the capacity of a tax attorney, or having been in a responsible administrative or management capacity.\r\nNOTES:\r\n1. Candidates may substitute the possession of an associates degree for two years of the required experience in auditing, accounting, tax law, general management, or customer service.\r\n\r\n2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university for two years of auditing, accounting, general management, and customer service experience.\r\n\r\n3. Candidates may substitute 30 college credits from an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience up to two years of experience in auditing, accounting, tax law, general management, or customer service.\r\n\r\n4. Candidates may substitute graduate education in an academic field related to the required experience from an accredited college or university at the rate of one year of education for five years of the required general experience.\r\n\r\n5. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License for six years of the required experience.\r\n6. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher as a non-commissioned officer in accounting and budget classification or accounting and budget specialty codes in the tax examining field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n** For education obtained\r\noutside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent\r\nAmerican education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service.
