Main Purpose of Job
This position provides Accounting and budget support to the Budget, Accounting and Revenue (B.A.R.) Unit, Office of Finance, Medical Care Programs through a variety of duties, including invoice processing and tracking, review of purchase requisitions for available funding, and support for budget preparation, quarterly projections, and expenditure management plans. In addition, this position assists in the preparation of fiscal notes, budget initiatives and other special accounting and budgetary assignments required.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:�Seven years of experience in budget preparation, presentation and execution.\r\nNotes:\r\n1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in budget preparation, presentation and execution for the required experience.\r\n2.�Candidates may substitute graduate education from an accredited college or university in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, political science or public administration at a rate of 30 credit hours for five years of required experience.\r\n3.�Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service� experience as a commissioned officer in the Budget Officer classifications or Financial Management specialty codes in the Budgeting field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess the following:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Experience preparing budgets and budget projections, including forecasting.\r\n Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processing, ensuring timely and accurate invoice review and payment processing.\r\n Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, with strong skills in reporting and financial documentation.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
