At the�Potomac Center/SETT�facility, our\r\ncollegial teams provide quality person-centered support to adults (some court\r\nreferred) with behavioral health challenges and intellectual\r\ndisabilities/autism at our residential campus in Hagerstown, Maryland. Our aim\r\nis to help our residents learn adaptive�behavior skills and return to the\r\ncommunity.�Our center consists of a 62-bed licensed Intermediate Care\r\nFacility (ICF) that focuses on using therapeutic interventions to empower\r\nresidents. In addition, we have a Secure Evaluation and Therapeutic Treatment\r\n(SETT) Program, a 32-bed licensed Forensic Residential Center, that provides\r\nservices to individuals with intellectual disabilities who are court involved.\r\nThe center sits on a lovely campus just outside southern Pennsylvania and about\r\n1.5 hours from�Washington, DC.\r\n

Main Purpose of Job
This full-time contractual position ensures all individual assessments are completed effectively and efficiently in order to help individuals improve their psychological functioning and accomplish objectives specified in their person-centered plans. This position oversees the development and implementation of person-centered psychology services/interventions based on reason for admission, court orders, findings from assessments, and plans for discharge. This position provides direct service and oversees the services provided by the SETT Psychology Associates. This position works collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to include attending individual plan of care meetings, special team meetings, morning reports, etc. This position works with both the IDT and the individual to develop and train on behavioral support plans, while ensuring the overarching program meets the individuals’ support needs.\r\n
POSITION DUTIES
\r\n\r\n\r\n Provides a variety of diagnostic assessment services including the\r\n selection, administration, scoring and interpretation of a wide range of\r\n psychological tests to measure and evaluate intellectual functioning,\r\n personality structure, interest, aptitudes and related psychological factors;\r\n Conducts individual, family, group and milieu psychotherapy programs at a\r\n Court Involved Facility\r\n Provides continuing education to other health care professionals and\r\n health care technicians in the theories, methods, practices and techniques\r\n employed in a psychological services program\r\n Discusses and evaluates the status of patients or clients in\r\n interdisciplinary team meetings in order to formulate or modify patient or\r\n client treatment plans\r\n Consults with agency staff, community groups and other State agencies on\r\n programs designed to develop preventive and rehabilitative mental health\r\n services\r\n Performs other related duties\r\n\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:�Determined by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Psychologists under the licensing requirements for Psychologists. Must hold doctorate degree and current Maryland license.\r\nExperience:� Minimum two years of experience rendering psychological services or engaged in psychological research after receipt of the�Psychologist license. \r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess the following:\r\n\r\n\r\n Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and/or co-occurring diagnoses (i.e. Autism)\r\n Supervisory experience and oversight for development of Behavioral Support plans\r\n Skills in assessment, CBT, BSCA certification\r\n\r\n\r\n
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Candidates for this classification must be licensed as a Psychologist by the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists prior to permanent appointment to a position.� Applicants who do not have a Maryland license may apply�before receipt of the required license but the application will be designated in�pending status by the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) Testing Unit.�When the license has been obtained, submit a copy of the license to MDH to�remove the pending status from the application. \r\n2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess�a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.\r\n

BENEFITS
\r\nContractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.\r\nLeave may be granted to a contractual employee at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.\r\n\r\n
