Our fast-paced Business Affairs Department in Seoul is in search of a Business Affairs Executive to play a key role in the creation and clearance of advertising content for South Korea. This role involves constant interaction with our local Account Management, Media and Production teams, as well as our Business Affairs team in Los Angeles and the Executive Director, primarily based in the UK.

This position would be extremely well suited to an individual with 1+ year experience or knowledge in the Business Affairs or Production functions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has impeccable attention to detail, is deadline-orientated and has an ability to work across several projects simultaneously – all within a fast-paced, creative environment. 

  • Work as part of a team to review global advertising content, applying a localization filter for South Korea. 
  • Work with external counsel to establish risk assessments, outline solutions and escalate issues as necessary. 
  • Co-ordinate submissions to broadcast clearance bodies. 
  • Assist with vetting content, talent, partners, creators and influencers. 
  • Work with key stakeholders on development and setting of legal lines, and manage legal line trackers.
  • Work with key stakeholders on applying classification ratings set by the Classification Board to creative assets where required.
  • Support localization workflow as required.
  • Provide feedback and approvals on final advertising assets.
  • Maintain usage logs, precedent folders, capture learnings and key data. 
  • Manage administrative tasks as required by BA Leads including creating bids, POs, presentation materials.
  • Work as part of the team to ensure Client’s security & confidentiality directives are followed, including administering non-disclosure agreements.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with Account, Planning, Creative, Production and Finance teams and the global Business Affairs network.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape and legal precedents.
  • 1+ years proven experience in Business Affairs, Production Management or Licensing functions. Relevant experience in other fields (such as entertainment, media, etc) may also be of benefit in this role. A basic understanding of IP law, rights management and consumer law.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Korean.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills paired with a meticulous attention to detail and precision in approach to work. 
  • A good understanding and interest in the Korean advertising industry and technology sector, including knowledge of advertising regulations.
  • Team player, highly collaborative, with a calm, positive ‘can do’ attitude and with the ability to work well under pressure. 
  • An appreciation of working within a fast-paced creative agency / environment.
  • Attendance at the office in Seoul, in-line with company’s hybrid working policy.
