Software Developer in Test

Role Overview 

We are seeking a talented Software Developer in Test to join our Development Team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of the bank’s digital solutions.

This position offers the opportunity to work with modern testing tools and methodologies in an agile environment, contributing to the delivery of scalable, high-quality, and innovative digital products shaping the future of banking services.

The selected candidate should be willing to relocate to the specified job location.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintain and continuously build upon and improve our automation testing frameworks
• Develop internal tools to facilitate the duties and work performed by the QA Team
• Integrate automated tests with our CI/CD pipelines to execute both on demand and nightly tests
• Identify automation gaps, plan, and delegate work to the QA Automation Engineers
• Highlight, develop and execute performance tests as necessary
• Contribute to the team’s roadmap tasks to upkeep the quality, reputability, and reliability of our products
  
• Monitor test executions, review test run results, and propose improvements in a timely manner
• Implement reporting and necessary integrations to translate test results into business readable form
• Design test plans and develop automated tests to expand on the existing test repository
• Work with the developers to ensure component level tests are being implemented and reviewed correctly
• Define the automation roadmap and collaborate with the team to address areas of improvement or coverage

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

• University degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
• At least 2 years of experience in QA or similar roles
• Industry knowledge of using API testing clients such as Postman, Jmeter, Bruno or SoapUI
• Using code repository and revisioning tools such as Git or SVN
• Scripting languages such as JS/Typescript/Groovyscript
• Ability to navigate through service/API logs and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Strong communication skills and approachable personality
  
• Knowledge of trading, financial instruments, and/or banking experience will be considered a major asset
• Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira and test tracking tools such as Testrail or Xray
• Working with databases such as MSSQL, PostGres or OraDB
• Experience with REST/XML micro-service and event driven architectures
• Experience using CI/CD platforms such as GoCD, Jenkins, Github/Gitlab actions
• Working experience with OOP development languages such as C# or Java
• At least 3 years of experience in a software development or automation role
