About the Role
~1 min readThe Cloud Architect are the technical authorities who translate business requirements into secure, scalable, cost-efficient architectures on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Partnering with sales, delivery, and customer engineering teams, they own solution design, lead technical governance, and guide implementation through best-practice automation (IaC, CI/CD, DevSecOps) and modern patterns (containers, event-driven, serverless, data & AI platforms) to migrate, modernize, and optimize workloads on AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud that meet rigorous performance, security, and cost-efficiency targets.

Craft cloud architectures that include security, data, application, and operations.

Define multi-account/-subscription landing zones, IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and policy-as-code baselines.

Establish reference implementations reusable across engagements.
- →
Champion shift-left security and FinOps practices
- →
Mentor engineers during build & migration; troubleshoot complex issues spanning infrastructure, application, and data layers.

Serve as an escalation point during go-live and hyper-care.

Support pursuit teams with solution diagrams.
- →
Present technical vision to C-suite and enterprise architects

Publish blog posts, white papers, and internal knowledge articles.
Requirements
~1 min read8-10+ years experience engineering solutions on at least one CSP (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with mentoring engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or similar.
Strong grasp of DevSecOps, SRE, and FinOps principles.
Experience architecting data platforms and/or integrating AI/ML services.
Proven client-facing communication skills; able to defend architectural decisions with executives and engineers alike.
Exposure to serverless patterns, event-driven architectures, and edge/IoT solutions.
Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect (one required, multiples preferred).
