Fleet Mechanic

Fleet Mechanics are responsible for the Maintenance of Menard-owned equipment and vehicles. This is light duty, medium duty, and heavy-duty truck, trailer, and forklift repairs.

·         Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair

·         Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and related parts

·         Perform maintenance work to DOT standard for over the road equipment

·         Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane, and battery powered engines/equipment

·         General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units

·         Perform preventive maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections

·         Clean and maintain the work area and equipment

·         Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed
