Senior Financial Accountant

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for performing and overseeing complex accounting, financial analysis, and reporting activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.  The Senior Financial Accountant is expected to independently research and resolve complex accounting issues, identify trends and financial risks, strengthen internal controls, and lead process improvement initiatives. This position serves as an accounting resource to management, other departments, and members of the Accounting and Finance team and may provide guidance and review of work performed by less experienced accountants.

• →Prepare, analyze, and review daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
• →Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals and supporting schedules.
• →Perform detailed financial and variance analysis and communicate findings to Accounting management. 
• →Review financial results and identify trends, unusual transactions, and opportunities requiring management attention.
• →Evaluate internal controls and identify opportunities to strengthen controls, reduce risk, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. 
• →Lead in developing, documenting, and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• →Lead in accounting and finance projects, system implementations, and other continuous improvement initiatives. 
• →Lead in special projects and other duties as assigned.
