No experience required - we provide PAID training.

Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals.  By following the Individuals Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills.   Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride and fostering independence in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as personal care, housekeeping and laundry.   Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities. Communicates transportation needs to Supervisor on a timely basis to ensure individual receives the most efficient response to return to normal routine.

Insures safe transportation, i.e., secures wheelchairs and residents in vehicles and supervises during transport.

Familiarizes self with doctors' offices, clinics and various hospital environments.

Actively gathers information regarding individual prior to scheduled trip so that accurate information may be shared with professional staff.

Reports to appropriate appointment on time and informs the parties of any pertinent resident information.

Develops and maintains professional rapport with personnel of doctors' offices, clinics and hospitals.

Is aware of residents' needs (i.e., change of clothing, personal items, lunches, etc.) for off-campus appointments.

Obtains signed consultation sheet.

Verbally reports any concerns regarding medical or professional treatment of individuals to Health Services Supervisor or appropriate supervisory staff.

Signs residents out prior to hospital trip or appointment and signs them in upon return from trip or appointment on behavior log in respective living area.

The Hospital Tripper will perform duties of Habilitation Worker when not scheduled for off-campus trips.

Performs any related work as required.

Escorts residents via Merakey Allegheny Valley school vehicles or emergency vehicles to doctors' offices, health centers or emergency rooms

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Active valid driver's license is required.
• Related experience is helpful
