The Associate Digital Marketing Manager (Social & Growth) owns and optimizes key digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and paid advertising platforms. This role plays a key role in driving customer engagement, retention and conversion through effective campaign execution, audience segmentation and performance optimization. The role will work cross-functionally with internal teams and agency partners to ensure seamless delivery of integrated marketing initiatives across all marketing channels
Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Optimization: Collaborate with agency and internal teams to develop high-performing, compelling content optimized for engagement and amplification. Monitor performance and report social platform analytics to inform messaging refinement, posting cadence, and creative formats for maximum reach and impact. Ensure consistent voice, storytelling and visual language that aligns with brand guidelines.
- Audience Growth: Drive audience growth through consistent, high-quality content and platform-specific strategies
- Campaign/Calendar Ownership: Own and manage the integrated marketing calendar, ensuring alignment across email, social, paid and promotional initiatives to support business objectives.
- Paid Media: Partner with manager and media agency to execute conversion-driven paid social campaigns supporting Mezzetta.com, Amazon and omnichannel partners.
- Strategy Development Execution: Partner with internal brand management partners to ensure overall social and content strategy aligns with broader marketing, business and go-to-market goals.
- Influencer Strategy & Partnerships: Partner with social agency to identify, vet and manage influencer and ambassador relationships to expand reach and engagement. Oversee campaign execution, define
- performance goals and evaluate ROI to continuously optimize partnerships.
- Trendspotting & Innovation: Stay current on emerging trends, platform features and consumer behavior to identify opportunities to grow brand presence, with a focus on TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Reddit.
- Agency Management: Nurture partnership and accountability with social media agency, ensuring timely delivery on content, strategy and reporting deliverables. ·
- Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across paid and organic social media to evaluate effectiveness and ROI. Help maintain and update monthly digital marketing dashboard to visualize campaign performance and identify trends or anomalies.
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Plan, design, and deploy email campaigns that nurture leads, drive engagement, support customer retention goals and expand customer list.
- Automation & Workflows: Build and manage automated email journeys (welcome sequences, re-engagement, lifecycle campaigns) to maximize the capabilities on Klaviyo.
- Segmentation & Personalization: Develop audience segments and use behavioral or demographic data to deliver targeted, relevant content.
- Testing & Optimization: Conduct A/B tests on subject lines, creative, and send times to continually improve open rates and conversions.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key performance metrics (open, click-through, conversion, unsubscribe) and generate actionable insights for campaign refinement. ·
- Compliance: Ensure all email marketing adheres to brand guidelines, GDPR/CAN-SPAM compliance, and best deliverability practices.
- Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across email marketing activity to evaluate effectiveness and ROI. Help maintain and update monthly digital marketing dashboard to visualize campaign performance and identify trends or anomalies.
- AI Integration: Leverage AI tools to support content creation, audience research and product insights.
- Innovation and Education: Stay current with advancements in AI marketing technologies and champion internal learning, ensuring the team leverages tools effectively and ethically.
- Provide cross-functional assistance with key team initiatives and tasks as needed, including support with budget management. Support customer experience operations to ensure continuity during peak periods and team coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields (preferred)
- 4-6 years of relevant digital marketing, social media and content strategy experience, preferably CPG
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PPT), Klaviyo, AI platforms (Open AI, Anthropic)
- Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, AI content creation, digital/social analytics
- Strong understanding of social media channels, best practices, and the evolving social media landscape along with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media content planning and publishing
- Keeps up to date with industry trends and new platform innovations.
- Creative, innovative thinker who’s not afraid to bring new ideas to the table.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in copywriting and copy editing
- Ability to work independently and exercise discretion but communicate and escalate issues appropriately.
- Detail-oriented, organized and deadline driven with ability to adapt in real time.
- History of high performance.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrates a bias toward action.
- Ability to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations.
