The Technician in charge of hazardous substances used in production (HPM) is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, monitoring, and reliability of chemical and gas distribution systems that support semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role ensures uninterrupted delivery of hazardous production materials while maintaining compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements. The HPM Technician supports facility operations through preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities on chemical, gas, and specialty process systems. HPM System Operations & Maintenance Operate and Maintain HPM Systems * Operate, monitor, maintain, and resolve problems in hazardous production material systems supporting manufacturing operations. * Maintain bulk chemical systems, specialty gas systems, chemical distribution systems, valve manifold boxes (VMBs), valve manifold panels (VMPs), gas cabinets, chemical delivery equipment, and associated infrastructure. * Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on HPM equipment and support systems. * Ensure safe and reliable delivery of chemicals and gases to manufacturing processes. * Perform routine inspections of HPM equipment to identify abnormal conditions and potential failures. * System Monitoring and Reliability * Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Compliance Hazardous * Environmental Stewardship * Prevent chemical releases through proactive inspections and maintenance activities. * Respond safely and effectively to chemical, gas, and environmental incidents. * Participate in spill response and emergency preparedness activities. * Report unsafe conditions, process deviations, and environmental concerns promptly. * Support environmental compliance programs and audit readiness activities. * Chemical and Gas Systems Maintenance Equipment Problem Solving * Diagnose and repair failures involving pumps, valves, regulators, analyzers, sensors, actuators, gas cabinets, and distribution equipment. * Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process control issues affecting HPM systems. * Perform leak checks, system verifications, and operational testing following maintenance activities. * Support root cause investigations for equipment failures and process disruptions. * Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of system failures. * Preventive and Predictive Maintenance * Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes. Minimum Requirements: * 2 -5 years of experience in industrial or semiconductor electrical systems. * 2-5 years of general maintenance experience. * Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off) Preferred Requirements: * Valid Electrical Journeyman License. * 5+ years of experience in industrial or semiconductor electrical systems. * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
