Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing. ## Location Singapore ## Department Silicon Design Validation ## Project Title AI-Enabled NAND Silicon Design Validation and Report Automation ## Project Description This engineering internship provides the candidate with structured learning and practical exposure to silicon design validation for NAND flash memory products. The intern will learn NAND operations, circuit and feature validation principles, Verilog simulation, validation data collection, and engineering data analysis. Through a defined project assignment, the intern will develop a customized validation plan for a selected NAND feature or design circuit. The intern will also explore the use of Python, Generative AI, Large Language Models, AI Assistants, and Agentic AI solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of validation data collection, anomaly detection, analysis, and report generation. The project is developmental and project-based. Activities will be conducted under engineering guidance and within the approved project scope. ## Objective of the Project The objective is to develop the intern’s understanding of NAND silicon design validation while creating an AI-Enabled solution that improves the efficiency, consistency, and accuracy of validation planning, data analysis, anomaly identification, or technical report generation. ## Opportunities for Full Time Employment Candidates who successfully complete the internship may be considered for future full-time employment opportunities based on organizational requirements, role availability, and individual suitability. Consideration for future employment does not constitute a guarantee of employment. ## Project Scope * Study NAND flash memory operations and the roles and responsibilities involved in silicon design validation. * Perform Verilog-based simulations to understand the expected behavior of selected NAND circuits or product features. * Develop a customized validation plan that defines validation objectives, test conditions, data requirements, and analysis criteria for an assigned feature or circuit. * Learn to use automated test equipment, oscilloscopes, and probe stations to collect validation data under engineering guidance. * Develop Python scripts, Artificial Intelligence workflows, or Agentic AI solutions for data processing, report generation, waveform anomaly detection, or end-to-end validation workflow automation. ## Learning Opportunities * Develop foundational knowledge of NAND operations, silicon design validation methodologies, and semiconductor measurement principles. * Gain practical exposure to Verilog simulation and the interpretation of simulated circuit behavior. * Learn appropriate methods for using automated test equipment, oscilloscopes, and probe stations within a controlled engineering project. * Build technical capabilities in Python scripting, data analysis, waveform interpretation, and engineering report generation. * Explore Generative AI, Large Language Models, AI Assistants, and Agentic AI workflows for semiconductor validation applications. ## Deliverables * A documented summary demonstrating an understanding of NAND operations and the selected circuit or product feature. * Verilog simulation results and an explanation of the observed circuit behavior. * A customized validation plan and an analysis of the silicon validation data collected for the assigned project. * A Python-based or AI-Enabled solution for validation analysis, anomaly identification, workflow automation, or report generation. * A final technical report and presentation summarizing the methodology, results, learning outcomes, and recommendations. ## Impact of the Project * Improve the consistency and traceability of silicon validation planning and documentation. * Enhance validation efficiency through Python-based analysis and AI-Enabled workflow automation. * Improve the identification of potential anomalies in validation data or waveforms. * Demonstrate practical applications of Generative AI and Agentic AI within an engineering validation workflow. ## Skillsets Required * Foundational knowledge of digital electronics, semiconductor devices, circuit design, or computer architecture. * Familiarity with Verilog, circuit simulation, or electronic measurement equipment. * Programming knowledge in Python and an interest in engineering data analysis and visualization. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical documentation, and communication skills. * Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Large Language Models, AI Assistants, AI Agents, or Agentic AI workflows. ## Course of Interest The ideal candidate should be pursuing a master's/degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. ## Duration of Period The ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full time internship period of 5 months from Jan to May 2027.
