As a Assembly & Test Operations Excellence Staff Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will support and facilitate the Operations Excellence team to define operations excellence initiatives. You need to be equipped with deep knowledge and identified as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Lean 6 Sigma, Factory Physics knowledge, and Theory of Constraint that will deliver competitive and quality results in AT network sites. You will be required to make use of your strong analytical ability to identify opportunities, structure sustainable solutions/business process and effectively collaborate with various functions (OE/Cost/Cycle Time) to roll out implementations towards Best in Class operations. You will be working closely with the Operations Excellence/TPM team integrate initiatives to deliver operations goals in Productivity (labour/machine throughput), efficiency (Cost/Cycle time) and the sharing of best known methods (BKM). Job Description Responsibilities and Tasks * Development of centralized platform/governance and roadmap for operational excellence (Labour, Machine, Metrics/Measurements, Methodology, Material/Work-in-Progress) * Structuring and detailing the priorities of an operational excellence initiative * Design and delivery of Lean Manufacturing/Operations Excellence trainings to improve the maturity of a Lean/Continuous improvement culture * Identifying and introducing key methods for operational excellence, and tailoring this methodology to the specific functions/business partners * Collaboration with Site Cross Functional Team & ensure the calibration of the site according to best practices (Best Known Methods) * Coaching and supporting projects and employees in implementing methods, such as value stream analysis, process mapping, and standardization of modules and process steps * Networking across the organization to ensure coherence of operational excel Requirements: * A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related discipline is required. * Strong understanding of Backend (Assy, Test, Module/SSD) or Front-End manufacturing processes, including system and physical automation, equipment efficiency methodologies, cycle time, capacity and labor planning, lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and backend business processes and reporting structures. * Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, with solid understanding of statistics to support business and operational decisions * Working knowledge of SQL or any coding language (python preferred) to analyze data, automate analysis, and support data-driven solutions will be an advantage. * Foundational understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including AI agents, will be an advantage. * A curious, analytical mindset and willingness to learn new tools and techniques. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross functional stakeholders. * Exceptional customer focus and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. * Practical knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies. * Resourceful in utilizing existing tools and templates to address complex situations with minimal guidance. * Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required to meet business needs. * Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus * Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred. * Possess Micron Values: * People-Respect, develop, and empower others * Innovation-Drive continuous improvement and breakthrough thinking * Tenacity-Show grit and determination * Collaboration-Build trust and foster teamwork * Customer Focus-Deliver excellence and value Job Profile(s): Manufacturing Engineer 1 - Manufacturing Engineer 3 Relocation level: (TBD) Before Getting Started Please review Micron’s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
