We're seeking someone to join our team as a Data Quality Metrics Specialist in the broader Data Governance & AI Non-Financial Risk team focusing on the design, implementation and monitoring of standardized metrics to measure the Firm's data and its Data Quality Program. In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is an Associate level position within the Data Quality Controls & Metrics team which is a multidisciplinary team which aims to reduce the Firm's exposure to Data Quality risk. What you'll do in the role: * Advise our stakeholders on the implementation of data quality metrics. * Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations for transitioning to a more automated metric-producing environment. * Provide subject matter expertise on DQ metrics. * Maintain inventory of DQ metrics. * Build and maintain strong positive relationships with key Data Quality stakeholders. * Communicate with our stakeholders effectively, actively listening to them and coordinating work throughout the lifecycle of a DQ metric. * Devise methods to apply the Data Quality Program framework to metrics and monitoring. * Train other team members as well as other DQ risk officers on metrics. What you'll bring to the role: * At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role. * Bachelor's Degree * Strong knowledge of the data lifecycle and common approaches to data quality, including prioritization. * Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools with proven experience are essential. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Ability to present complex issues clearly. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to influence and catalyze decisions from senior management. * Displayed ability to influence stakeholders and drive projects through to completion. * Previous experience working in data and information risk, data governance, data architecture, or enterprise data modeling is desired. * Previous experience in driving the adoption of new programs and processes is a plus WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
