Description
The Copy Assistant supports the copy team across day-to-day writing, proofreading, and administrative needs. This is a foundational role for someone passionate about beauty, language, and brand storytelling who wants to learn the craft of brand copywriting from the ground up.
- Copywriting
Assist senior writers with drafting copy for digital assets, education, wholesale, paid social media, events, promotions, and other needs. - Proofreading
Proofread copy on packaging, visual merchandising, digital, and more to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and style guide. - Coordinating
Coordinate translation needs for packaging copy, partnering with external partners to ensure timely, accurate delivery and ensuring proper filing upon return. - Trademark Support
Assist team in conducting legal and trademark searches. - Administrative
Support team administrative needs, including following up on stakeholder approvals and setting up meetings, establishing agendas, and taking meeting notes.
- Project Management: Work directly with project managers to prioritize needs and support copy team’s on-time deliverables.
- Digital: Pick up allotted briefs and execute accurately on requests. Support launch QA.
- Design: Coordinate copy needs and proof and provide feedback to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Brand Team: Support copy team in bringing products to market and ensuring consistent and correct communication of those products once launched.
- Product Development: Help collect product details, from shade descriptions to use instructions to inform copy development.
- Regulatory: Ensure international compliancy and other requirements are met.
- Education: Refine product education to be consumer-facing.
- Wholesale: Support the distribution of product copy to wholesale leads.
- External Agencies: Help proof marketing materials and facilitate communication with external partners.
Requirements

- 0–1 years of copywriting, editorial, or marketing experience (internships count).
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or related fields.
- Strong writing, grammar, and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail, consistency, and brand voice.
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines at once.
- Reading proficiency in French is a plus.
- Passion for the beauty industry, cultural trends, and social media.
FORMA Brands takes a market-based approach to pay, and amounts will vary depending on your geographic location. The salary range reflected here is for positions based in the Greater Los Angeles area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
