(HQ) Integration Engineer

Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot RPA / ETL workflows with sufficient ownership to independently support existing automation operations and new automation initiatives.
As an Integration Engineer within the Global Enterprise Applications team, this role is responsible for independently developing, maintaining, and optimizing automation, integration, and cross-system workflows across RPA, ETL, APIs, and structured data processes. The position is expected to support workflow continuity, reduce operational dependency, and contribute to scalable automation capability. This role is expected to achieve operational ownership of assigned workflows within a defined onboarding period.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Automation Development: Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot RPA / ETL workflows with sufficient ownership to independently support existing automation operations and new automation initiatives.
- Existing Workflow Continuity: Take ownership of existing Alteryx / UiPath workflows to ensure operational continuity, issue resolution, and smooth transition from prior resources.
- System Integration Support: Assist in API integration and development. Handle various data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) to ensure data flow between applications adheres to business logic and compliance standards.
- Process Analysis & Optimization: Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify operational bottlenecks, evaluate automation feasibility, and propose technical solutions with high practical impact.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive development documentation, system architecture diagrams, and exception handling procedures to ensure long-term maintainability and traceability.
- Troubleshooting: Perform workflow troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and exception handling across automation and integration processes.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in UiPath (or other major RPA platforms like Automation Anywhere/Blue Prism).
- Hands-on experience with Alteryx, Tableau Prep, or similar ETL/Data Preparation tools.
Knowledge/Work Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in system integration or software development.
- Prior experience in the Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript) to augment automation capabilities.
- Experience with CargoWise One (CW1) system integration projects.
- Ability to analyze and maintain undocumented or partially documented workflows.
- Experience in production support / troubleshooting preferred.
- Familiarity with API / structured data integration preferred.
Key Behavioral Competencies
- Good communication and documentation skills in Mandarin/English for technical documents and cross team communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Able to effectively leverage AI tools, and make final decisions with own judgement.
