Role Summary: The Clinical Director oversees the clinical operations of Lincoln Recovery’s Detoxification, Residential, Therapeutic Programs. This role involves supervising clinical team members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and providing direct client services such as therapy, case management, and group facilitation. The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for maintaining program compliance with state regulations, leading clinical supervision meetings, and managing staff performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support clinical staff, including clinical supervisors, therapists, addiction counselors, and group facilitators.
  • Provide direct clinical services, including individual therapy and group facilitation.
  • Develop and oversee treatment plans, discharge plans, and aftercare coordination.
  • Maintain effective communication with families, insurance companies, and internal and external professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, Joint Commission standards, and agency policies.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate clinical team members.
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to team members and interns.
  • Conduct daily audits, including clinical and medical records, to ensure quality care, compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Review and sign clinical documentation daily in the EMR system for team members requiring supervision.
  • Collaborates with the Operations and Medical Departments to ensure client needs are met, support effective communication, and enhance overall facility operations.
  • Develop and facilitate on-site activities, therapeutic support, and education groups to enhance client engagement and recovery.
  • Utilize effective de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to manage high-stress situations, ensure client and team members safety, and promote a therapeutic environment.
  • Facilitate, attend, and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to support ongoing growth and team collaboration.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience providing clinical services in a substance use disorder treatment setting, or in a closely related behavioral health or mental health environment. Comparable experience in other clinical care settings will also be considered.
  • Experience in supervising and managing a multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • Familiar with evidence-based practices, such as 12-step facilitation, CBT, DBT, and trauma informed care.
  • In-depth understanding of ASAM criteria and levels of care.
  • Proficiency in managing electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations for behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment programs.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills by fostering effective communication, collaboration, and trust with team members, clients, and external contacts to ensure a supportive and cohesive environment.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Active and valid clinical license such as LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT
  • Clinical Supervision Credentials
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain
  • Must successfully complete Background Check, Drug Screen, and TB Test


Physical Requirements: Light lifting, able to walk up and down stairs, and extended periods of time sitting.
