Entry Level Equipment Technician I – Plano, Texas

What are we looking for?

The Equipment Technician I is responsible for managing and tracking of electrical and mechanical test equipment.

Shift/Schedule: 1st shift, M-F.

What you’ll do:

Transfer Equipment.
Operate equipment.
Maintain equipment and facilities.
Maintain equipment calibration status.
Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations.
Prepare equipment for travel (i.e. for travel in a vehicle or by air).
Research new equipment and vendors.
Work with existing vendors to obtain quotes and purchase services and products.
Perform other work as required.

Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
No experience is required - will train
Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools
Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional variables
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
Microsoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required. 
 

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

1+ years of related equipment experience
