Job Description
We are seeking a Industrial Insulation & Fabrication Technician to join our federal team at our York, PA location. Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and organized 6S environment. Responsible for participating in continuous improvement and Lean Kaizen Events. Understanding the criticality of proper quality-controlled documentation. Knowledge and proficiency in print reading. Responsible for operating overhead/jib cranes and rigging of products. Responsible for reviewing and signing timecards weekly. Accountable for adhering to and promoting compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Responsible for upholding the principles of duties as listed below.

Pay: $31.79 / per hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Union: This is a bargaining unit (Union) position.
Travel: Some local travel to testing facility.

As a Insulator, you will:
Working from complex mechanical, piping, and isometric drawings
Producing products from prints, standard work, and routers
Working from engineering standards
Working with cross-functional teams
Workmanship
Document Quality-Controlled Inspections (QCI)
Mathematical fabrication to accurately obtain values
Precision work for high-quality repeatability
Measure, cut & fit to round, flat surfaces
Bevel
Miter
Fish Mouth
Insulation
Acoustic Insulation
Layout and cut insulation for minimum waste
Install using pin welder or banding
Some situations require glue and lagging
Caulking seams
Thermal Insulation
Layout for minimum waste
Attach insulation per requirements using glue adhesive
Attach insulation to fit round and flat surfaces
Apply lagging cloth utilizing Vimasco adhesive or 520 adhesive as required
Apply fire retardant paint to lagging cloth per print requirements
Apply dampening tiles with two-part epoxy as required
Tubular Insulation
Cut and apply insulation as required
Apply lagging cloth per print requirements
Apply lagging cloth utilizing Vimasco adhesive or 520 adhesive as required
Apply fire retardant paint to lagging cloth per print requirements

Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area and/or equipment
Ability to read and interpret a measuring tape accurately to measure and cut out materials
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
2-years of experience in mechanical insulation or building trades (Preferred)
Attention to detail, follow detailed instructions.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area and/or equipment
Ability to read and interpret a measuring tape accurately to measure and cut out materials
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
