About the role:
As the Americas Engineered Solutions (AES) Project Controls Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for the project controls function supporting a portfolio of moderate to large, complex engineering and manufacturing programs. You will be responsible for building a comprehensive team and deploying the people, systems, tools, and processes required to plan, monitor, and deliver projects safely, predictably, and within approved scope, schedule, cost, and risk parameters.
You will lead project controls professionals, align resource capacity with portfolio demand, and partner with project teams and business leaders to advance organizational objectives.
You will report to the Project Director, AES and will be based out of our Cranberry Township, PA facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess portfolio demand and assign, obtain, and optimize project controls resources to support project and program priorities.
Lead workforce planning, staffing, succession planning, and personnel development for the project controls organization.
Develop, standardize, and continuously improve project controls processes for scheduling, cost management, forecasting, earned value management, risk management, resource planning, performance measurement, and integrated change control.
Lead Sales, Inventory, and operational planning efforts for the OPX AES business unit; interfacing with internal OPx and APx stakeholders
Establish systems, tools, templates, specifications, and governance that enable consistent, high-quality, and reliable project delivery.
Lead the team in the development of integrated, resource-loaded, and leveled schedules that incorporate customer commitments, key milestones, vendor scope, interfaces, and cross-business-unit dependencies.
Have the capability to provide business leaders with information related to resource demand, financial reviews, and project delivery performance.
Create and present concise, actionable performance reports to senior management, business leaders, customers, and other stakeholders, highlighting trends, achievements, decisions required, and areas of concern.
Leverage historical data, predictive analytics, dashboards, and emerging technologies to improve visibility, efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and data-driven decision-making across the AES portfolio.
Define and maintain an integrated project controls information architecture that connects scheduling, cost, resource, risk, and performance data across enterprise systems while establishing common data models and sources.
Establish data governance standards for project controls information, and lead integration and automation initiatives that improve operability and traceability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, informational sciences, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in project controls, project management, or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience leading resources and supporting complex projects.
Advanced knowledge of scheduling, cost control, forecasting, earned value management, risk management, resource planning, change control, and performance reporting.
Proficiency with project controls and business systems such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, and Microsoft Excel, along with experience using reporting and analytics tools (Power BI).
Experience implementing digital tools, predictive analytics, or enterprise-wide process improvements.
