Remount Technician

VCI is seeking an experienced Senior Ambulance Remount Technician to help rebuild, refurbish, and remount ambulances that serve first responders throughout the Northeast.

If you have experience with ambulance remounts, emergency vehicle upfitting, specialty vehicle manufacturing, fleet repair, fabrication, or advanced electrical work, we'd love to hear from you.

• →Complete ambulance remount projects from teardown through final delivery.
• →Transfer ambulance modules onto new chassis.
• →Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, HVAC, lighting, and vehicle systems.
• →Fabricate, modify, and install components as needed.
• →Perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and quality checks.
• →Read and follow schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
• →Support and mentor less-experienced technicians when needed.

• 3+ years of experience in ambulance remounting, emergency vehicle upfitting, specialty vehicle manufacturing, fleet repair, truck-body installation, or a related trade.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience reading schematics and technical drawings.
• Valid driver's license.
• Welding experience, EVT/ASE certifications, and direct ambulance remount experience are a plus.
