Finance Administrator
The Finance Administrator is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization through effective budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis. This role partners with leadership to support strategic decision-making, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain strong internal controls.
In this role, the Administrator will assist with driving HCI’s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and strategic finance functions. The position works closely with senior leadership to evaluate opportunities, identify risks, improve operational performance, and support key business initiatives. Success in this position is measured not by the production of reports, but by the quality of insight, influence, and strategic guidance provided to the organization. Director will oversee utilization of decision support system to manage the operational and personnel functions of the Finance department in order to coordinate activities and ensure compliance with University, Government and Departmental regulations, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities

- →Oversee clinic volumes, RVU reporting, and other key metrics, serving as a key liaison with HCI finance counterparts.
- →Manage Funds Flow between HCI and MSU, including but not limited to: departmental sustaining and strategic support, dollars for clinical coverage as directed by HHF and other programs.
- →Monitors and confirms financial needs by conducting audits and providing information to internal stakeholders.
- →Provides management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategies.
- →Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- →Summarizes budget trends, analyzing deficiencies and reporting variances to executives.
- →Prepare financial presentations and reports for executive leadership and Board as needed.
- →Monitors and assess operational and other business workflows from a financial perspective to foster better ROI, KPIs, and efficiency.
- →Participate and manage activities for University and HFH committees as assigned.
- Coordinate and oversee the financial models that support strategic planning and capital allocation decisions.
- Drive performance management through KPI development, variance analysis, and business reviews.
- Establish scalable FP&A processes, reporting frameworks, and financial governance.
- Improve forecast accuracy and financial transparency across the organization.
- Deliver meaningful analysis that supports executive decision-making and business growth.
- Lead the preparation for executive and board reporting materials.
- Present financial results, forecasts, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Ensure leadership has timely, relevant information to support strategic decisions.
- Create impactful presentations and business cases for leadership review.
- Lead, mentor, and develop FP&A team members.
- Delegate recurring reporting and analytical processes while maintaining accountability and quality.
- Establish documentation, standards, and scalable processes that support growth.
- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and analytical rigor.
- Partner with reporting and analytics resources to improve automation and business intelligence capabilities.
Requirements
~1 min readKnowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Business Administration, Accounting, Management or field related to employing unit; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in financial or accounting practices, developing research projects, funding and grant practices and/or experience in a field related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA, CPA or CMA preferred. Experience in a medical School, university, or healthcare organization, understanding of RVU data required. Supervisory experience required.
