Responsibilities

  • →Perform high-quality MRI examinations on patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • →Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation.
  • →Utilize all available MRI resources, protocols, and technology to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
  • →Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding MRI procedures to promote patient comfort and cooperation.
  • →Adhere to established safety standards, infection control practices, and MRI-specific protocols.
  • →Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to patient needs and concerns.
  • →Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
  • →Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
  • →Ensure proper care, maintenance, and quality control of MRI equipment and work areas.
  • →Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental operations, and organizational policies and procedures.

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), required.
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT), if not registered must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
