Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Weekend)

Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Weekend Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) in Nashville, Tennessee. We are offering up to a $30,000 sign on bonus. This is an on call position. 

Nashville General Hospital seeks to hire an experienced OR Registered Nurse (RN) for our Operating Room (OR) who will embrace our commitment to providing quality care to every patient and family members. This is a on call weekend position. 

• Demonstrate ability to perform and the ability to operate technical equipment.  
• Assess patient's condition before surgery and provide care for patients in recovery. 
• Position patient on operating table and assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.  
• Cleaning surgical equipment and operating rooms to maintain a sterile environment. 
• Educating patients on best practices for recovery including pain management and keeping wounds clean.  

Required Skills & Qualifications:  

• Assessing patient condition and noting it accurately according to the facility’s charting practices 
• Understanding applicable state regulations and following compliance practices 
• Graduate of an accredited associate degree, Diploma, or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred.  
• Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state. BLS required. ACLS preferred.  
• One year of clinical nursing and Operating Room (OR) preferred.  
• Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) and Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) preferred.
