Position: Team Leader – Critical Minerals Supplier Development (Anticipated Position)

Background:
Navanti Group is seeking a Team Leader to support a commercial comparative study of local supplier development in critical-minerals mining.
The Team Leader will lead study delivery and serve as Navanti’s accountable point of contact for quality, schedule, technical coherence, and client coordination. The study will develop evidence-based recommendations for public decision-makers, mining companies, local suppliers, and cooperation bodies.
Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the quality and timeliness of all advisory packages and deliverables
- Coordinate with the client, project partners, interviewees, and other stakeholders
- Lead and manage the multidisciplinary team, including short-term experts
- Direct the methodology, validate technical analysis, and consolidate interim and final deliverables
- Ensure consistency among sectoral and comparative chapters
- Submit regular progress reports
- Lead the development of evidence-based recommendations for public decision-makers, mining companies, local suppliers, and cooperation bodies
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, public policy, industrial engineering, productive development, extractives, or a related discipline
- English proficiency at C1 level and Spanish proficiency at B2 level
- At least 10 years of experience in productive development, mining, value chains, and public policy
- At least 8 years of experience conducting international comparative studies and formulating public-policy recommendations related to mining and local suppliers
- At least 7 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing projects, or serving as a company executive
- At least 10 years of Latin America experience, including work in significant mining countries such as Chile, Peru, or Mexico
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Portuguese proficiency at B1 level
Ideal Candidate:
The strongest candidate will combine documented mining experience in Latin America and the Caribbean with international comparative-study credentials and proven multidisciplinary team leadership. Candidates must demonstrate the required English and Spanish language proficiency and the ability to translate technical findings into practical policy recommendations.
